About Us
Ed's Lawn Equipment opened 44 years ago on the pasture land of far north Dallas near the intersection of Preston Rd. and Forest Ln. In the beginning we had three different small businesses. A hardware store, a hobby shop and a lawn equipment shop. Over time the Lawn & Garden portion of the business grew and became one of Dallas-Ft.Worth's largest independent Outdoor Power Equipment dealers.

Ed's Lawn Equipment Review - "I am constantly changing the landscaping"
I am constantly changing the landscaping of my yards and they have everything thing I need as well as great variety, so I never do the same thing twice.
Ed's Lawn Equipment Review - "While I'm not an enthusiast, this is my go-to place for garden power tools."
Some guys love power tools, but not me. Each spring I liberate my garden tools from the stratum of winter's storm debris, remove slugs and spiders, add fresh fuel, thumb priming bulbs, pull the cords...sputter, sputter - nothing. This one needs a new hose, that one a new cord, a new cable, this one can't be fixed - forget about it. I'd set out to mow my yard, but find myself instead pulling into the parking lot at Ed's Lawn Equipment amongst convoy of hobby enthusiasts in their ten cylinder Cummings diesel monster trucks. I pull my Prius into a compact spot next to a Ford 350 with four lawn mowers in the back. I bring my bag of failed parts to the counter. There is a group of enthusiasts ogling a riding mower with pipes and flames. The counter guy produces the replacements parts - totally painless. Ed's carries a very large selection of new equipment, repair parts, and they offer service as well. While I'm not an enthusiast, this is my go-to place for garden power tools.
Ed's Lawn Equipment - "Excellent service!"
Excellent service! Ed's carries some of the best lawn equipment you can buy, and their staff is extremely knowledgeable about the equipment they sell, and even the equipment they don't sell. Make sure to ask questions, they're extremely friendly and helpful. It's almost as though they want you to look around in a hassle free environment, rather than push a "used car salesman" approach on every customer. My philosophy is to support these local businesses, because if we don't, they won't be there when our equipment breaks in the future. Don't buy the big box lousy equipment- support local business and places like Ed's will be there for you in the future.
